April 3, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Adirondack Phantoms News Release

The Adirondack Phantoms have announced that right wing Brandon Alderson has signed an Amateur Try-Out (ATO) contract with the team. The 21-year-old from Oakville, Ont. is eligible to potentially make his professional debut this weekend when the Phantoms play three games in three days.

Alderson signed an entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on March 1 and recently completed his fourth season in the Ontario Hockey League racking up a career-high 28 goals and 36 assists for 64 points in his overage season with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

The Greyhounds were recently eliminated in the first round of the OHL playoffs by the Owen Sound Attack thus allowing Alderson the opportunity to sign the ATO with the Phantoms.

The 6'4" tall and 195 lb. player is a right-handed shooter. He totaled 69 goals in 267 games in his Major Juniors career. Alderson played two seasons with the "Soo" Greyhounds scoring 45 goals in 132 games and previously played two seasons with the Sarnia Sting also in the OHL scoring 24 goals in 135 games there.
