Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (9-4) couldn't get the bats going against the Clearwater Threshers (9-4) in a 4-2 loss on Tues- day night at LECOM Park. The Marauders managed just one hit and an unearned run against Clearwater starter Seranthony Dominguez (W, 2-0). RHP Pedro Vasquez (L, 0-1) completed five innings for the first time this season, striking out three batters along the way.

RHP Bret Helton allowed two runs over two innings pitched. LHP Jake Brentz and LHP Daniel Zamora each logged a scoreless frame. Bradenton brought the tying run to the plate in the eighth inning and had the tying runners aboard in the ninth but Luke Leftwich completed a two-inning save.
