The Boston Red Sox today recalled right-hander Alex Wilson from Triple-A Pawtucket. He will be available for tonight's game against the Orioles in Baltimore.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington made the announcement.

Wilson, 26, returns to the Red Sox for his second stint in the majors in 2013. He was first recalled by Boston on April 9, and made 16 relief appearances, going 1-0 with a 2.50 ERA (5 ER/18.0 IP) with nine walks and 15 strikeouts. On April 11 against Baltimore, he became the first ever Saudi Arabian-born pitcher to appear in a major league game. In seven appearances for Pawtucket this year, Wilson is 1-1 with a 5.00 ERA (5 ER/9.0 IP), three walks, and nine strikeouts. He has not allowed a base runner in each of his last three Triple-A outings since June 5 (3.1 IP).
