Wisconsin Rapids, WI- Thursday, December 13th. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters announced the signings of two high-profile pitchers for the 2013 season. Canadian native Michael Clouthier (Boston College) will join Mike Mestdagh (Michigan State) in Wisconsin Rapids next summer.
RHP-Michael Clouthier, 6'3", 210 lbs (R/R) Freshman, Boston College
Clouthier will begin his freshman season with Boston College in the spring of 2013 after a banner prep career at Bishop MacDonnell Catholic high school in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He was chosen as the 2009-10 junior male high school athlete of the year while also earning all-city honors during that same time.
Sporting a fastball clocked in the low to mid 90's and a devastating slider, Clouthier earned an invitation to play on the Canadian Junior National team from 2010 through 2012, while also playing for the Ontario Terriers during the 2011 and 2012 seasons as well. The Terriers are a traveling summer team that attends showcases and tournaments providing exposure to scouts and recruiters across the nation. He helped his team win a gold medal at the Canada Cup National Championship in 2011 and a silver medal in 2010 with Team Ontario.

His junior season he collected five wins, four saves, and struck out 65 batters in 47 innings pitched, posting a 1.01 ERA.
