Schaumburg Boomers News Release

The Schaumburg Boomers of the Frontier League and The Gary SouthShore RailCats of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball are returning to Tennessee for their annual early spring try-out camp.

The Evansville Otters and Lake Erie Crushers, also of the Frontier League, will once again be represented, along with the Joliet Slammers, as all 5 clubs are hoping to find prospective players for the 2016 season.

The camp will take place on Saturday, March 26th at the home of two-time NAIA National Champions, Cumberland University, in Lebanon, Tennessee at Woody Hunt Stadium. A make-up date will be scheduled if inclement weather ensues.

The camp is open to all free agent players age 18 and up. There is a $75.00 fee to participate in the camp, payable in cash only upon registration the day of the camp. Players need to supply their own equipment, including wood bats and catchers gear.

Registration will take place on the day of the try-out as follows:

Position Players: 9:00 AM

Pitchers: 11:00 am.

Over 30 players who have attended the camp, have signed professional contracts and several more have been invited to spring training, making it one of the most successful and productive individual team try-outs in the country.
