Bonis to the AHL

Toledo, OH - Forward Kyle Bonis has been loaned to the Iowa Wild of the AHL.

Bonis started the season with a pair of goals on October 14 at Fort Wayne. With the Walleye, Bonis has scored 58 goals and 39 assists over 109 games played. Despite playing in only nine games last year for the Walleye, the Lindsay, Ontario native picked up 11 points (6G, 5A) including being named ECHL Player of the Week with 5 points (3G, 2A) in the first week of the season.

He has also skated in 96 career AHL games with 15 goals and nine assists, including appearing in 52 games for the Rochester Americans with 10 goals and 2 assists last season. The 28-year-old will be suiting up for former Walleye head coach Derek LaLonde when the Wild host the Rockford IceHogs tonight in Iowa. The Walleye are on the road taking on Reading Thursday night.
