June 29, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH- Head Coach and General Manager Don MacAdam announced Thursday that the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL have re-signed Forward Dan Knapp.

"Dan Knapp was a positive addition to our lineup at the end of last season," said MacAdam. "We are really looking forward to having him join us at the beginning of the season and we are excited about helping him reach his goal of making it to the American Hockey League."

Knapp signed with the Bombers at the end of last season after completing his collegiate career at The Ohio State University. Prior to joining the Bombers last season, Knapp appeared in 123 games during his career at Ohio State, scoring 91 points on 34 goals and 57 assists.

"After playing four games in Dayton I realized I wanted to come back for this upcoming season", said Knapp. "I really enjoyed the atmosphere the fans created, the way Costa and Don ran the team and of course playing with the teammates I had."

Knapp, a 5'11", 185-pound native of Rochester, Michigan, appeared in four games last season with the Bombers, scoring a total of three points (1G, 2A).

"Dayton was an easy choice", said Knapp. "I have friends and family that will now be able to come and watch me play at the beginning of my pro career and that was an important factor in my decision to come back to the Bombers."
