Bombers Acquire Forward Bowers from Florida Everblades

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers acquired forward Justin Bowers from the Florida Everblades, head coach Bill McDonald announced today, completing the trade of Yannick Tifu to the Everblades.

Bowers, a 23-year-old native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, joins the Bombers for his first professional season after two years with St. Thomas University in New Brunswick, Canada. He had 68 points (29g,39a) in 56 games with the Tommies, earning All-Rookie Team honors in 2007 and Second-Team All-Star in 2008.

The six-foot, 203-pound Bowers played three seasons with Woodstock in the MJAHL, recording 271 points (105g,166a) in 148 games, including a 123 point season in 2005-06.

Recently Bowers participated in the "AAA" American Hockey League's Quad City Flames training camp.
