Blues Assign Nine Players to Peoria

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has reduced their roster to 37 players.
Defensemen Daryl Boyle, Mark Cundari, Forwards Anthony Peluso, Philip McRae, Anthony Nigro, Tyler Shattock, Stefan Della Rovere, and Goaltenders Jake Allen and Gerald Coleman were assigned to the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
In addition, defensemen Brett Ponich (Portland) and David Shields (Erie) as well as forwards Cody Beach (Calgary), Stephen MacAulay (Saint John) and Chris DeSousa (London) were assigned to their junior teams.
The Rivermen will open camp on Monday at 10 a.m. at Carver Arena and travel to Rockford to open their preseason schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 6:35 p.m. They will be on the road on Friday, Oct. 1, to face the Chicago Wolves at the Hoffman Estates Community Center and Ice Arena and host the IceHogs in their only home preseason tilt on Sunday, Oct. 3 at 7:05 p.m.
