Blue Falls Short in Los Angeles

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - The Oklahoma City Blue fell to the Los Angeles D-Fender, 99-90, on Saturday at Toyota Sport Center.
JP Tokoto led the Blue's scoring efforts with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting with three blocks and two steals. Marquis Teague notched 17 points and eight assists and Dez Wells scored 15 points. Dakari Johnson tallied nine points and 10 rebounds while Tomislav Zubcic collected his first career double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
The Blue held a 31-28 lead after the opening quarter but Los Angeles strung together nine straight points and outscored Oklahoma City 24-13 to head into halftime with a 52-44 advantage.
The D-Fenders led by as many as 17 in the third quarter but the Blue stormed back to pull within two at the 6:19 mark of the fourth. A 10-2 Los Angeles run separated the D-Fenders again as they held off the Blue in the final minutes.
Oklahoma City (10-20) pulled down 48 rebounds and blocked six shots.
Los Angeles (15-14) was led by Vander Blue with 31 points, seven rebounds and four steals.
