Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release

WINNIPEG, MB. - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are asking fans to join the team in showing support for Childhood Cancer Awareness at Friday's game against the Edmonton Eskimos.

For the second year, the team will wear gold ribbon decals on their helmets. In addition, for every hat sold in the Bomber Store on game day, the Bombers will donate $5.00 to charities that support childhood cancer patients and their families.

"Our hearts go out to all the Manitobans who have been touched by childhood cancer," said Hannah Pratt, Director of Community Relations. "We are proud to support this very important cause to help create awareness and also to raise money for our partner organizations."

The Dream Factory and Ribbons for Rylan will be collecting donations in the Tailgate at the Plaza presented by Duraco Windows before the game on Friday.

Thursday, September 29th

In addition, 20 children from The Dream Factory will attend Thursday's walkthrough to watch practice from field level and meet and greet the players. Cameras are welcome and some families will be available for interview.
