Bloomington Edge Sign Elad Covaliu

Bloomington, IL -The Bloomington Edge is proud to announce the signing of Running Back Elad Covaliu. Covaliu played collegiately at Saint Anslem College in Manchester, New Hampshire where he helped lead the team to its best record in team history in 2014. He also set a team record that season for yards in a game with 259. 2017 will be Anselm's rookie season in the CIF, and he comes to Bloomington with high expectations.

"We're excited to add Elad into our backfield. He has next level talent and is a very quick and powerful runner. He runs and drives his legs on contact with the best of them. We are looking for big things from him."

Fans will get their first look Covaliu when the Bloomington Edge host an exhibition game at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington on February 26th versus the Tri-Town Titans at 5:05pm. That game will be preceded by a Fan Fest two hours before kick-off.

The Edge home opener is scheduled for March 3rd at the Coliseum versus the Western Michigan Ironmen. Game time is 7:05 pm. For season ticket information please call the Edge offices at (484) 840-EDGE.

The Bloomington Edge is a professional indoor football team that plays in Bloomington, IL at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum. The Edge is a member of the 12-team Champions Indoor Football (CIF), which formed under the merger of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League and the Lone Star Football League. The 2017 season is the Edge's 12th year of operations and second in the CIF.
