Bloomington Edge News Release

(BLOOMINGTON, IL) | The Bloomington Edge, a member team of the X-League indoor professional arena football league, announced today the launch of its new mobile application for smartphone users, "On the Edge", powered by Venuetize. The app, created by eMbience, will become the latest way for fans to keep up to date with everything Edge, anytime and anywhere.

"We wanted to create a VIP experience for Edge fans, and this app is a big step in our ability to deliver next-generation services around the team," said Michael Mink, owner of the Bloomington Edge and Commissioner of the X-League. "Our new OnTheEdge mobile app is the first of its kind for the X-League and puts the Edge on par technologically with some of the most progressive teams in the NFL."

In addition to staples, such as the latest news and video posts, roster information, game schedule, scores, and photo galleries, the app also features an integrated suite of rich, fan interactive services, including:

mobile in-seat ordering and delivery for concessions and merchandise;

a fan video wall for video "Twitter"-like capabilities;

predictive gaming; and

location-based notifications to augment fans' game day experience within the US Cellular Coliseum.

The launch was made possible Venuetize's vertically integrated services suite of engaging, interactive experiences for sports fans.

"Mobile apps, location-based services, and second screen experiences are core components of how we optimize integrated mobile solutions for sports businesses," said Nimish Shrivastava, CEO of eMbience.

The Edge mobile app will be available for free download by iPhone and Android users, including iPad and iPod Touch, by the Bloomington Edge's season opener on March 28th.
