Blizzard vs Nebraska Danger Friday Night

May 5, 2016 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Green Bay Blizzard News Release

Green Bay, WI - The Blizzard (2-7) are coming off a last second loss to the defending champion Sioux Falls Storm this past Saturday night 66-59, and aim to keep putting points on the board against the visiting Nebraska Danger (5-5). Last time they met, the Blizzard won a thriller in overtime 66-60. The Green Bay Blizzard will look for another win against the Danger Friday night on Aurora BayCare Freeze Field at the Resch Center. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05pm.

The Blizzard offense led by quarterback Matt Behrendt, has been almost unstoppable of late. The Blizzard are averaging 51.5 points per game over the last month. Behrendt leads the league in passing at 169.8 yards per game and is second in touchdowns with 35.

A resurgent rushing attack that has run for 100 or more yards in 3 of the last 4 games, looks to continue that trend. Running back Keshaudas Spence is averaging over 6 yards per carry in his last 4 games and rushed for 4 touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, the Blizzard will look at trying to stop the big play. A revamped secondary and pressure on the quarterback from the defensive line should make that task easier. The Blizzard recorded 3 sacks and 1 interception this past Saturday night against the Storm.

Friday night is "Into the Outdoors" night! The first 1,500 fans through the doors will receive a FREE Blizzard camo cap courtesy of Ken's Sports and Fox 11. It is also a Double Bubble night! Buy one 30oz beer and get 1 FREE!

Tickets start at just $12 and are available now at the Resch Center box office or online at www.TicketStarOnline.com.
