Brookings Blizzard News Release
The Brookings Blizzard lost to the Austin Bruins 6-2 Saturday night at the Larson Ice Center. Austin made the most of their opportunities scoring three goals in the first two periods despite being outshot 23-16. Brookings scored twice in the third period to make it interesting. Tyler Cayemberg scored his fourth of the year banging home a rebound off a blast from the point by Drew Brevig. Craig Lindegard scored a shorthanded goal with seven minutes to play to cut the lead to 5-2 but Austin scored once more to seal the victory. Brookings has fallen into fourth place of the Central Division one point behind Minot and four points behind Bismarck. The Blizzard travels to Bismarck this weekend for a big two-game series. Both games will be on fasthockey.com at 7:15.
