Kamloops Blazers News Release
Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers coaching staff has announced the team captain for the 2012-13 season. Dylan Willick will wear the 'C' for the first time after wearing an 'A' the past two seasons. Willick follows Chase Schaber as the team captain.
Willick will be joined by three assistant captains. Colin Smith, Tyler Hansen and Brendan Ranford will be the assistant captains for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.
"Dylan represents what a captain is by his on ice work ethic and off-ice maturity," commented Head Coach Guy Charron. "He is surrounded by three strong individuals who have only been Blazers, and understand the Blazer way."
All four individuals among the captaincy group are in either their fourth or fifth seasons in the WHL. It is important to note that all four players were either listed or drafted by the Blazers and have only ever played for the Blazers.
