Blades Take On Wheat Kings Tonight In Game #4

The Saskatoon Blades are set to take on the Brandon Wheat Kings tonight at Westman Place for game #4 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Final series following a 5-4 Blades victory on Wednesday night to cut the Wheat Kings lead in the best of 7 series 2-1.

The Blades game #3 win on Wednesday ensured that there will be a game #5 in Brandon on Saturday April 10th. If needed, game #6 will come back in Saskatoon on Monday the 12th and game #7 on Wednesday the 14th in Brandon.

Darian Dziurzynski, Gaelan Patterson, and Walker Wintoneak picked up a combined 10 points in the Blades 5-4 win on Wednesday and all three lead the team in points vs. the Wheat Kings in the series. Brent Raedeke and Shayne Wiebe lead the Wheat Kings with 5 points each heading into tonight's game.

* The Saskatoon Blades win in game #3 of this series was the first second round playoff game win for the organization since 1994. The win ends a 14 game 2nd round losing streak. The last time the Blades won a 2nd round game was against the Swift Current Broncos. They ended up sweeping that series en route to the WHL Finals against the Kamloops Blazers.

Be sure to tune into 92.9FM the Bull for all of tonight's play-by-play action. Puck drop is slated for 6:30pm with the pre-game show beginning at 6:00pm. All Blades fans are also invited to Joe's Sports Bar & Grill at 345 2nd Avenue to watch the live webcast of tonight's game.
