New England Black Wolves News Release

UNCASVILLE, Conn. - The New England Black Wolves will host Military Appreciation Day on February 19th at 1 p.m. when they face-off against the Buffalo Bandits at Mohegan Sun Arena.

A number of festivities are planned for the day, centered around recognizing the sacrifices made by veterans and their families and raising awareness about the issues that both veterans and those currently serving face on a daily basis.

Shootout For Soldiers

For every Military Appreciation Day ticket sold through Shootout For Soldiers, the Black Wolves will donate a ticket to a Veteran. Tickets are priced at $13. In addition to the ticket promotion, the team will host a post-game clinic for participants of Shootout for Soldiers Boston with Black Wolves' players. Throughout the game there will also be a number of ways for fans to give back, including a 50/50 ball toss in benefit of Shootout for Soldiers. Those interested in attending can visit http://bit.ly/SFSLAX to purchase tickets using promo code: SFS.

Operation That's My Ride

In collaboration with the USO, the Black Wolves are supporting "Operation That's My Ride" with a bike assembly event prior to the game on February 19th. The program allows people to recognize the children of military families for their sacrifice and honors their parents to service to our country. Volunteers, along with Black Wolves players and staff, will be putting together bikes donated by local businesses and will present them to military families at halftime of the game.

Operation Baggataway

Beginning on February 19th, Operation Baggataway will be holding a drive to collect unused or old lacrosse gear to build lacrosse libraries around the world so every service member can enjoy lacrosse during deployment. Anyone wishing to donate equipment can bring it to the station behind section 26 on the Mohegan Sun Arena concourse. The group will be set up at all remaining Black Wolves home games in 2017.

West Point Band

Members of the West Point Band, the Army's oldest musical organization, will be on hand during Military Appreciation Day. Founded on the grounds of the United States Military Academy in 1817, the band has performed at numerous historical events and fulfills more than 1600 official missions annually. The group will perform the national anthem prior to the opening faceoff.

Navy Federal Credit Union

Navy Federal Credit Union, serving all branches of the Armed Forces as well as Veterans, has purchased a section of Mohegan Sun Arena for its customers.

A variety of packages, including mini plans and daily deals, are on sale now for all Black Wolves games. Tickets start as low as $15 and can be purchased by visiting blackwolves.com or calling 844-LAX-WOLF.
