Today's Game
Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons host the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the second game of a four-game set at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The clubs will also play three games in two days in Lehigh Valley starting Monday. The Bisons have lost four in a row, but are 37-31 against the IL North division.
Playoff Push
After their 5-1 loss last night, the Bisons were passed in the standings by the IronPigs and fell to fourth place in both the IL Wild Card and IL North Division races. With 12 games remaining, the Herd is 4.5 games behind Rochester for the Wild Card lead, and trail Pawtucket by 5.0 games for the division.

The road team has won nine of the 10 games played between these clubs this year. The IronPigs are 4-1 in games played in Buffalo, including a 3-1 series victory during their last trip, June 4-7. The Bisons are a perfect 5-0 in Lehigh Valley.
On the Bump
RHP THAD WEBER will make his 13th start of the year for the Bisons. He was won three of his last four starts and earned a quality start in each of them. Weber was optioned back to the Bisons Wednesday after being recalled to Toronto on August 14. He made one appearance for the Blue Jays, pitching 2.0 innings of relief on August 20 (3 H, ER, 2 SO).
Welcome Back
OF RYAN LANGERHANS and INF MAURO GOMEZ both made their returns to the Bisons lineup last night. Langerhans was signed by the Blue Jays as a free agent after being released by the team on June 20. He was 1-4 with a double and also made a leaping catch in centerfield to take away a home run. Gomez missed 18 games after being placed on the disabled list August 4. He was 1-3 in his return last night. The slugger is tied for second in the IL with 28 homers, only one behind Zach Walters for the league lead.
First Impression
OF BRAD GLENN now has a hit in six of his seven games with the Bisons. He is hitting .304 (7-23) with a double, a home run, and 4 RBI. He has reached base 12 times, good for a .429 on-base percentage.
Blue Jays Update
The Blue Jays (57-71) lost their fifth straight game yesterday as they fell to the Yankees, 5-3. Former Bisons OF KEVIN PILLAR was 1-3 with a run scored, and INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI was 2-4 with a RBI. The Blue Jays begin a three-game series in Houston tonight (8:10 p.m.).
