Today's Game:

The Buffalo Bisons host the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders for a doubleheader at Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). The Herd is finally back on the field after four consecutive postponements. Following today's twinbill, the Bisons will leave for an eight-game roadtrip to Syracuse and Lehigh Valley.

Rain, Rain GO AWAY

The four consecutive postponements for the Bisons are the most since they lost the first four games of the 2007 against Richmond because of snow and freezing temperatures (4/5-8). Buffalo had just two rainouts at home in all of 2012 even with a schedule of 78 home dates.

Bisons vs. RailRiders

The Bisons were 5-11 against the Yankees last season. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre enters today's games with a seven game win streak against the Herd. Buffalo has not won a season series against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre since Marty Brown's first tenure in Buffalo in 2005 (9-7).

What Brown does for us

MARTY BROWN is just 12 wins away from the Bisons modern era record. His 241 wins are shy of only Buffalo Baseball Hall of Famers Brian Graham (253) and Terry Collins (246).

Roster Moves

INF LANCE ZAWADZKI has been activated off the Bisons disabled list and RHP EDGAR GONZALEZ has been outrighted to the club after being designated for assignment by the Blue Jays. INF MUNENORI KAWASAKI had his contract selected by Toronto on Saturday.

Season Debuts

Both RHP DAVE BUSH and RHP MIGUEL BATISTA will make their 2013 Bisons debuts today. Bush was on the Herd's Opening Day roster but made a one-game stint with the Jays before his first start. Batista, who was 3-0 with the Bisons in 2011, was signed by Toronto on April 10.

Streaks

OF MOISES SIERRA has hit in all six Bisons games with a .409 (9-22) average to go along with a double and three RBI. Sierra has three multi-hit performances over his last four games...INF EUGENIO VELEZ has hit safely in all four games he's played in. Velez has posted a .368 (7-19) average and also leads the club with two stolen bases.

Toronto (5-6) has now won three of their last four games after a 3-2 win in Kansas City last night. The Blue Jays had just two hits but one of them was a two-run homer for OF JOSE BAUTISTA. The Blue Jays take on the Royals again today at 2:05 p.m.
