Beware the Phantoms at the NHL Draft

YOUNGSTOWN, OH - The 2018 NHL Draft is set to start Friday, June 22 at 7pm with rounds 2-7 on Saturday, June 23 starting at 11am from American Airlines Arena, home of the Dallas Stars. The Phantoms have great history with the draft with 12 alumni being selected dating back to 2011 including last year's draftee Michael Karow (5th round, 126 overall) to the Arizona Coyotes. This year the Phantoms have three potential draft picks; defensemen Michael Callahan, forward Curtis Hall, and goaltender Ivan Prosvetov.
Callahan, a Providence College commit, was acquired in February from the Central Illinois Flying Aces. The B-rated skater played 22 games with Youngstown with 9 assists. Callahan was named to the 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospects game and is Ranked 145th among North American Skaters on NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings. Callahan was named to the USHL All-rookie First Team.
Hall, a Yale commit played two seasons with Youngstown playing in 113 games tallying 20 goals and 32 assists. Hall was named to the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament team with Team USA as well as the 2017 CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game. The C-rated skater was also named to the U.S. Junior Select Team for the World Junior A Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia and the 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in which he is credited with a goal. Hall is ranked 60th among North American Skaters on NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings.
Prosvetov, a C-rated goaltender is uncommitted. He played in 36 games and garnered a record of 19-9-3-1 with a 2.90 goals against average and a .913 save percentage. Prosvetov was named to the 2018 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in which he saved all 11 shots he faced and is ranked 14th among North American goaltenders on NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings.
