"Behind the Glass" with the Youngstown Phantoms on ESPN 1240

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - "Behind the Glass" with the Youngstown Phantoms will air on ESPN 1240 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, November 16. The hour long, live radio broadcast will be the fourth edition of the season. "Behind the Glass" allows Phantoms fans the opportunity to call in and talk with the weekly guests. This week, Phantoms goalie Matt O'Connor and first year defenseman Kevin Liss will be talking with the voice of the Phantoms, Matt Metzger.

Phantoms goaltender Matt O'Connor is with the Phantoms for his first season in the USHL. The Toronto, Ontario native has played in all fourteen games this season. Out of the fourteen games played he has started thirteen of them. O'Connor leads all USHL goalies in minutes played with 804 minutes and 46 seconds. So far this season O'Connor has posted a 3.50 goals-against-average with a .882 save percentage. O'Connor is committed to Boston University for the fall of 2011.

Youngstown defenseman Kevin Liss is also in his first season in both the USHL and with the Phantoms organization. Liss is a native of Pittsburgh, PA and he appeared in his first game of the season this past weekend against Indiana. In his first game, Liss was not afraid to mix it up as he dropped the gloves in the first period during a scrap with the Ice's Christian Hilbrich. Liss missed the first thirteen games of the season as he recovered from off-season shoulder surgery.

Phantoms hockey returns to the Covelli Centre for three straight games before the Thanksgiving holiday. On Friday, November 19, the Omaha Lancers will square off with the Phantoms at 7:30 p.m. (EST). Friday night will be Harry Potter Dress up night at the Covelli Centre. The Phantoms host the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. (EST). Saturday is also scout night in downtown Youngstown. Scouts can pre-order tickets at a special price by calling 330-747-PUCK(7825). The first 250 scouts will also receive a commemorative patch for attending the game. The Phantoms finish the three game homestand on Thanksgiving Eve with $1 beer and hot dogs against the Indiana Ice at 7:30 p.m. (EST).
