The Salt Lake Bees improved their record to 9-1 over the Isotopes in 2016, defeating Albuquerque 11-6 tonight at Isotopes Park. The Bees have now taken 10 of their last 11 games against the Isotopes.

The outing was one to forget for Isotopes starter Eddie Butler. The right-hander allowed nine runs, eight of which were earned, on nine hits over five innings on the hill. His nine runs allowed are a new career high for Butler, while his eight earned runs matched a career high.

The Bees also were able to plate two runs against Isotopes reliever Patrick McCoy during his 0.2 innings on the hill.

Albuquerque relievers Sam Moll, Simon Castro, and Brian Schlitter all recorded scoreless outings on the evening.

The Isotopes were able to cross the plate in three frames on Wednesday, scoring three times in the second, twice in the third, and once in the seventh. Six different Isotopes recorded an RBI during the contest, highlighted by first baseman Jordan Patterson's seventh home run of the season.

The Isotopes and Bees are back in action tomorrow evening from Isotopes Park when left-hander Kyle Freeland (1-2, 5.10) takes the hill for Albuquerque. He will be opposed by Bees southpaw Chris Jones (3-8, 7.71). First pitch from Isotopes Park is set for 7:05 p.m.
