Bees Add Four To 2007-08 Lineup

HIDALGO, TEXAS --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) today announced the signings of defensemen T.J. Eason, Tyler Fuller and Dan McNeil as well as forward Josh Bonar for the 2007-08 Fifth Anniversary Season.

Bonar, a 23-year-old right wing, played the last two seasons at Brock University. He finished his university career with an average of nearly a point per game (51 GP, 21-25-46). Prior to that, the 6-foot-2, 188-pound native of Port Alberni, BC, played three seasons in the Western Hockey League, dividing that time between the Kamloops Blazers, Regina Pats and Vancouver Giants. He then went on to play two full seasons for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BCHL) and finished third in team scoring on both occasions.

Eason, 25, most recently competed as a pro in Australia this summer as a member of the Western Sydney Ice Dogs. In 24 games, he had 10 (1-9-10) points in 24 games. The Australian hockey season runs from April to September. His pro career began after competing the last four seasons at the University of Prince Edward Island. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound defenseman also spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League playing for both the Peterborough Petes and the Kitchener Rangers. The Kitchener native was a member of the Rangers 2003 Memorial Cup winning squad.

Fuller, 21, is a 6-foot-0, 185-pound defenseman who joins the Bees from the Williams Lake TimberWolves of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). The Williams Lake native finished fifth in scoring for his hometown team last season and led all defenseman with 36 points (11-25-36). His 199 penalty minutes led the team and were second overall in the league.

McNeil, 25, is a Toronto native who last played at Brock University. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound blueliner split the 2003-04 season between the former Roanoke Express (ECHL) and Tulsa Oilers (CHL), appearing in 55 games. He spent the last two seasons at Brock and was a teammate of fellow Bees signee Josh Bonar.

The Bees open their Fifth Anniversary Season at home on Friday, October 19, vs. the Corpus Christi Rayz, at 7:30 p.m. The team will play a preseason game against the Rayz on Monday, October 13, also at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to all games go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. Visit www.ticketmaster.com for more information.
