Hershey Bears News Release

(Hershey, PA) - The Hershey Bears honored the Humboldt Broncos hockey team prior to tonight's game at Giant Center vs the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The club held a special pre-game remembrance for the 16 lives lost, and the many more impacted, as a result of the junior hockey team's tragic bus accident last Friday.

Hershey raised funds for the Broncos through various efforts at Saturday's game, including a raffle of team-signed items. Additionally, all proceeds from the Hershey Bears Booster Club's 50/50 raffle went towards the families impacted. The Hershey Bears also made a monetary donation, and in total, it was announced that $7,500 was raised to held support the Humboldt Broncos.

The Bears would go on to beat the Sound Tigers, 2-1, in front of 10,039 fans.
