Bears complete preparations for title defense

HERSHEY - The 2006 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League the team's Clear Day List for the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs. The 20 skaters and two goaltenders listed will defend HERSHEY'S 2006 Calder Cup championship. The announcement was made Friday by BEARS President/General Manager Doug Yingst.
The following 22 players make up HERSHEY'S 2007 Clear Day list:
Goaltenders: Frederic Cassivi, Maxime Daigneault
Defenseman: Tim Wedderburn, Tyler Sloan, Jeff Schultz, Andy Hedlund, Dean Arsene, Deryk Engelland, Mike Green
Forwards: Joey Tenute, Eric Fehr, Alexandre Giroux, Tomas Fleischmann, Jakub Klepis, Chris Bourque, Kyle Wilson, Matt Hendricks, Dave Steckel, Louis Robitaille, Quintin Laing, Chad Wiseman, Scott Barney
Players in Residence but not on clear day list: Jamie Hunt, Pete Vandermeer, Kip Brennan, Donny Grover, Jeff Pietrasiak, Troy Milam.
A player in residence can be used during the playoffs if a member of the 22-man roster is injured or recalled.
The BEARS return to action this weekend at GIANT Center, with the Binghamton Senators and Hartford Wolf Pack coming to town. HERSHEY and Binghamton will face-off Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. prior to Hartford's appearance Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 534-3911.
