Bears Announce 2012 Training Camp Schedule

HERSHEY, Pa. - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today the complete schedule comprising the club's 2012 training camp. The announcement was made by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Players will report for physicals beginning on Sunday, September 30 at 8:00 AM. Following three days of practice, the BEARS will play their first pre-season contest on Wednesday, October 3 at 7:05 PM against the Binghamton Senators at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The camp wraps up when the team hosts the final pre-season game of 2012 against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Sunday, October 7 at 5:00 PM.

The 2012 training camp includes on-ice practice sessions, off-ice workouts and fitness testing, group meetings, and a four-game pre-season slate. All on-ice practices are tentatively scheduled to be held at GIANT Center and are open to the public.

The complete training camp schedule follows, with times and locations subject to change.

Also announced today, the annual HERSHEY BEARS Season Ticket Holder Pick-Up Night will be held on Thursday, October 4 beginning at 5:30 PM at GIANT Center. All season ticket holders are invited to a fun-filled evening that includes a special skate with the BEARS players and team mascot Coco. Players will also be distributing season tickets throughout the GIANT Center concourse. Tickets to this special event will be mailed to all season ticket holders during the week beginning Monday, September 17.

A special pre-sale for current HERSHEY BEARS season ticket holders will begin on Wednesday, September 19 at 10:00 am for those who wish to purchase additional seats for the 2012-2013 season. Further information regarding the pre-sale will be announced in the near future.

Individual tickets for the HERSHEY BEARS' 75th season of play in the American Hockey League will go on sale to the public beginning Tuesday, September 25 at 10:00 am. Tickets may be purchased at the GIANT Center box office, by calling (717) 508-BEAR, or online at TicketMaster.com.

Individual tickets for the BEARS' two home pre-season games are currently on sale through the above outlets. The BEARS will host the Binghamton Senators on Friday, October 5 at 7:00 PM and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Sunday, October 7 at 5:00 PM.
