Beach Bums Add Outfielder Donald Glover

TRAVERSE CITY, MI - The Traverse City Beach Bums have come to terms with former PECOS league stand-out, Donald Glover.

The Las Vegas native split the 2017 season, his first as a professional, between the High Desert Yardbirds and the Monterey Amberjacks. Combined, in 46 games, he had a batting average of .393 with two home runs, 14 doubles, and 32 runs batted in. In the playoffs, with the league champion Yardbirds, he played in six games, hitting .350, adding two doubles and two homers.

Before his professional debut, the lefty played collegiately at Western Nevada College in Carson City, where he was a .290 hitter with 10 extra base hits. That performance in his first two years earned him an NCAA division two scholarship to Dixie State College of Utah, in St. George. In two seasons with the Trailblazers, he hit .315 with three homer s, 20 doubles, three triples, and he drove in 46 runs while scoring 45.
