BayHawks Battle To Close Out Home Win

ERIE - The Erie BayHawks (8-12) fought a seesaw battle with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (8-12) but in the end closed out a 12 point win, 109 - 97 at the Tullio Arena.

Cedric Jackson put on a determined performance, leading the charge for the BayHawks with 31 points and 8 assists. The BayHawks had a balanced scoring attack with six players in double figures.

Jackie Manuel and Alade Aminu each chipped in 18 points with Aminu rounding out a double-double with 13 rebounds. John Bryant also notched his 11th double-double performance of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Former BayHawk, Oliver Lafayette continued his torrid shooting, leading Fort Wayne with a game high 32 points on the night, starting out 6 of 6 from 3 point range. Ron Howard also hit for double figures for the Mad Ants with 20 points and Sean Sonderleiter chimed in with 18 points on the night.

BayHawks Hit the Road

The BayHawks will hit the road for a three game swing that includes:

Tulsa 66ers- Saturday, January 16, 8:00 PM- WJET 1400 AM

Tulsa 66ers- Sunday, January 17, 5:00 PM- WFNN 1330 AM

Austin Toros- Tuesday, January 19, 8:30 PM- WFNN 1330 AM

The BayHawks return to Erie for a pair of games against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, January 22 and 23. Both games are 7 PM tipoffs at the Tullio Arena. The January 23 game will feature a High School Hoops Showcase double header prior to the BayHawks game with:

Iroquois vs. Villa Maria (boys) at 3:30 PM

East HS vs. Franklin (boys) at 5:00 PM

Tickets include admission to both high school games and the BayHawks game.
