CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - For the second straight start, BayBears starter Brooks Brown received no run support as the BayBears opened a five-game series against the Chattanooga Lookouts with a 5-0 loss.

Brown (1-3) worked five-plus innings but was lifted with two on and none out in the sixth. Brown allowed three runs and fanned a season-high eight batters. The Lookouts (8-8) tallied the board in the second after Sean Henry led off with a walk. He stole second and scored on a base hit by Shaun Cumberland.

In the sixth, Chattanooga blew the game open. After loading the bases on a single and two walks, Jose Castro was hit by an A.J. Shappi fastball, to make it 2-0. Drew Anderson followed with a pinch-hit two-run single to put the Lookouts in front by four.

Mark Rosen worked the final two frames for the BayBears (8-8) and gave up the final run on Cumberland's second home run of the season. The BayBears only had one runner get as far as third base while they only mustered one hit after the third inning. Sam LeCure (1-1) started for the Lookouts and worked six innings while Daniel Herrera and Robert Manuel finished off the shutout for Chattanooga.
