Mobile BayBears News Release
MOBILE, Ala. - To close out their four-game homestand against the Chattanooga Lookouts, the Mobile BayBears are guaranteeing a victory on Monday while paying tribute to a musical icon on Tuesday at Hank Aaron Stadium.
Monday night at 7:05, the BayBears are hosting the Lookouts in game three of their four-game set, and one way or another, the fans will win. If the BayBears win, then everyone goes home happy. If the BayBears don't win, then everyone in the ballpark will get a free box seat to the next Monday home game.
On Tuesday, the world will pay tribute to the one of the most legendary entertainers of all-time as Staples Center in Los Angeles will be filled with fans, friends and family of the late Michael Jackson who tragically passed away nearly two weeks ago.
In remembrance of the "King of Pop", between innings of Tuesday night's contest at Hank Aaron Stadium, select songs will be featured from Michael Jackson's historic life including ABC, Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, Man in the Mirror, Black or White and many more.
Born August 29, 1958 in humble Gary, Indiana, Michael revolutionized music and music videos, specifically with the nearly 14-minute Thriller, first released on December 2, 1983 by MTV. Although at times marred by controversy, Michael Jackson will always be remembered in the same breath as the likes of Elvis Presley and The Beatles.
The Mobile BayBears have sent nearly 100 players to the major leagues. They battle the Lookouts in game three of their four-game set on Monday night at 7:05 with Barry Enright (5-6, 3.87) getting the start. For Hank Aaron Stadium tickets, call (251) 479-BEAR or log on to www.mobilebaybears.com.
