Battle Creek welcome back Affinati, Schweyer

Battle Creek, MI - The Battle Creek Revolution Hockey Club is excited to announce there first signings for the upcoming 2010-2011 AAHL Season. Team Captain Chris Affinati and Player-Assistant Coach Rob Schweyer have signed contacts to return to the Cereal City.

"Rob and Chris were the backbone of this team this past season and are excited to be back in the Cereal City for the upcoming season" stated Revolution Co-Owner Bob Clousten.

Rob Schweyer, named the 2010 AAHL Defenseman of the Year will return to the Revolution for his eighth professional hockey season after spending time in the ECHL, CHL, ACHL, WHA2 and UHL. Rob last season posted twenty-eight (28) points in thirty (30) games last season.

"Rob is a force on the ice and will also provide leadership to the team off the ice," said Revolution General Manager David Darkey.

The five foot eight, one hundred seventy pound Affinati will be returning to Battle Creek after an amazing first AAHL season recording forty-four (44) points in forty-five (45) regular season games. Chris's hockey career is made up of five professional seasons in the SPHL, WHA2, CHL and UHL.

"Chris is a player of high character that will make the organization successful both on and off the ice," said Revolution General Manager David Darkey.
