Bast, Broda and Hamonic Named to Team WHL

The Moose Jaw Warriors are pleased to announce that forwards Jason Bast and Joel Broda along with defenseman Travis Hamonic have been selected to participate in the 2008 ADT Canada Russia Challenge.

Jason Bast's leadership qualities are sure to be an asset to Team WHL's roster. The 5'10, 180lbs Warriors Captain is off to a good start thus far this season with 7 goals and 11 points in 15 games.

Joel Broda is sure to contribute some offensive power as the Washington capitals Draft pick currently leads the team in scoring with 9 goals and 15 points. Defenseman Travis Hamonic's well rounded two-way play and previous participation in International Competition as a member of the gold medal winning team Canada at the 2008 World Under-18 Championships will be an asset both on the blue line and in the locker room.

The Moose Jaw Warriors organization and its fans would like to congratulate Jason Bast, Joel Broda and Travis Hamonic for being named to Team WHL as they will represent the Western Hockey League, the Warriors organization and the City of Moose Jaw well at the prestige event.

Bast, Broda and Hamonic will participate in the Wednesday November 26th game in Swift Current at the Credit Union I-Plex. All ADT Canada Russia Challenge games will also be broadcasted on Rogers Sportsnet.
