Bascom And Deluge Of Hits Nets Frederick Victory

Frederick amassed 15 hits and got a strong start from newcomer Tim Bascom en route to a 7-4 win against Myrtle Beach Thursday night. Bascom worked five plus innings allowing two runs on five hits, all singles.
Bascom is the first Orioles draftee from the 2007 class to make his way to Frederick. He started is career in the organization with 12 starts in Delmarva.
Leading 1-0 into the third the Keys scored three runs in the inning as SS Blake Davis, 2B Jonathan Tucker and LF Chris Amador all singled. With a run in and two men out, 3B Ryan Finan, coming off of an injury, lined a two-run double to right-center field to put Frederick atop 4-0.
Finan had a big night going 2-for-4 with four RBI's. Other highlights included a 3-for-4 night for Davis who had two runs scored and an RBI-double. Also Amador was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Keys reliever Blake Owen came in and worked four innings allowing just two runs, with only one eanred, to earn his second save of the season with Frederick.
