Barons Assign Martindale to Stockton

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons assigned center Ryan Martindale to Stockton of the ECHL, general manager Bill Scott announced today.

Martindale, a 6-3, 207-pounder from Oshawa, Ontario was recently signed by the Barons parent club, the Edmonton Oilers. Martindale was the Oilers 3rd round selection (61st overall) in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. The soon-to-be 20-year old played the last three seasons with the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League. In 243 games with the 67's, he has recorded 207 points (85-122-207) while serving 97 penalty minutes. During the 10-11 season, he was third on the team with 83 points (34-49-83).

The Barons home opener is just three days away on October 15 against the Texas Stars at 7 p.m. For the home opener, the Barons have teamed with Mercy Hospital to raise awareness for breast cancer research. Every fan who attends the game will receive a pink t-shirt from the Barons and Mercy Hospital.
