Barnstormers Acquire Two More Players

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee continued to assemble his 2013 roster, announcing this afternoon that both DB De'Mon Glanton and OL Gershon Jordon have been assigned to the club with each receiving a one-year contract.
Glanton, (6-1, 205) returns for a second season with the Barnstormers. Last season as a rookie he appeared in 11 games, finishing fifth on the team with 38 tackles. The hard hitting Defensive Back was a four year standout for Mississippi State from 2005-08, racking up 134 career tackles along with 5 interceptions and 23 pass break-ups. A native of Atlanta, GA, Glanton is known for his speed, having been clocked as low as 4.35 in the 40 yard dash.
Jordon, (6-6, 310) joins the Barnstormers for his rookie season in 2013. Previously, he spent time with the New York Giants, participating in their rookie camp in 2011. Prior to that, Jordon spent 4 years at Tennessee State University from 2007-10, where he was named to the All Ohio Valley Conference 2nd team as a senior, grading out at over 95% on all of his plays. Jordon was also a member of the Tennessee State Basketball team, where he played both center and power forward.
