Bandits Ink Cockerton, Edwards to One-Year Deals

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bandits today announced the team has signed forward Mark Cockerton and transition player Tim Edwards to one-year contracts, pending league approval.
Cockerton (5'10", 185 lbs., 5/17/1991) scored one goal in one game last season for the Rochester Knighthawks. Drafted by the New England Black Wolves with the sixth overall pick in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft, the Oshawa, Ontario native has registered 29 points (12+17) in 14 career NLL games.
Edwards (6'2", 194 lbs., 8/8/1992) was selected by Buffalo in the fourth round (36th overall) of the 2015 NLL Entry Draft and spent most of the 2016 season on the team's practice squad. Before going pro, Edwards recorded 145 points (65+80) in 57 career games for Canisius College.
