Norfolk Admirals News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL) announced that the team has released forward Connor Rankin from his standard players contract.

Rankin, 21, recorded two goals and an assist in 13 games for Norfolk during the 2015-16 season. The rookie from North Vancouver made his pro debut on Nov. 6 when he scored his first professional goal and point. The 6-foot, 202-pound forward opened his career on a three-game point streak, but ended his tenure with the Admirals in the midst of a 10-game scoreless streak. Due to Rankin's AHL contract status, the Condors recalled him before officially releasing him.

Norfolk closes out a four-game homestand this Wednesday, Dec. 2, when the Admirals host the South Carolina Stingrays for the first time this season. Tickets are available at the Scope Box Office, ticketmaster.com, or charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000.
