Bakersfield Blitz Begin "The Indoor War Report with Head Coach Gary Compton

Bakersfield - Tuesday, March 28 marks the beginning of the Bakersfield Blitz weekly radio program, "The Indoor War Report with Head Coach Gary Compton." The program will be broadcasted live every week on KGEO AM 1230 from Tailgater's Sports Bar and Grill, 900 Truxtun Ave, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
"The Indoor War Report with Head Coach Gary Compton" will be hosted by radio personality, Puck. The program will give Blitz coaches, Gary Compton, Corey Stone, Mike Cooper, Lorenzo Alvarez, and Cedric Walker, a chance to discuss weekly games, breakdowns, and season outlooks. The coaches will also be able to address questions from fans and participate in fun giveaways. "This will be chance to have the fans talk one on one with the coaches and gather information about each upcoming week. The show will definitely be fun, exciting and eventful." Coach Compton said.
KGEO AM 1230 is Bakersfield's Hot Talk Station. On KGEO AM 1230, radio hosts like Puck Whitnack from "The Puck Show," give news throughout the day that feature Bakersfield talent, as well as highly-rated syndicated programming such as ESPN radio.
The first broadcasting of "The Indoor War Report with Head Coach Gary Compton" will also be an opportunity for season ticket holders to pick up their purchased season tickets. If holders are unable to pick up tickets they can contact the front office at 377-BLITZ after March 29 to make arrangements.
The Blitz team will begin making their run toward the championship on Thursday, March 30 when the Blitz take on the Everett Hawks in Washington. Their first home game will be Sunday, April 9 when the Blitz battle the Spokane Shock. Kick off is set for 3:00 p.m. at Rabobank Arena. The first 5,000 fans will receive a Blitz schedule magnet and thunder stick.
Season tickets for the Blitz 2006 season are on sale now, as well as single game tickets. Ticket plans start as low as $80 and single game tickets are as low as $10 in the lower bowl. Tickets will be available at the Rabobank Arena box office and any Ticketmaster location.
