The Binghamton Senators spent last weekend on the road in Virginia where they played back-to-back games against the division rival Norfolk Admirals. The Admirals came away with the win Friday night as they squeaked past the visiting B-Sens, 2-1.

Cole Schneider had the only goal for Binghamton, his 14th of the season.

Steven Whitney and Patrick Maroon each earned scored goals for Norfolk.

Nathan Lawson started in goal for the B-Sens stopping 29 of 31 shots. Frederik Andersen earned the start in net for the Admirals, making 28 saves on 30 shots.

Saturday, April 6: Binghamton 0, Norfolk 3

Shots: Binghamton 33, Norfolk 31

PP: Binghamton 0 for 3, Norfolk 0 for 5

The B-Sens looked to rebound against the Admirals on Saturday night, but failed to solve Norfolk's starting netminder Frederik Andersen as he turned aside all 33 Binghamton shots en route to leading his team to a 3-0 shutout win.

Harry Zolnierczyk, Patrick Maroon, and Rod Pelley each scored goals for the Admirals.

Marc Cheverie started in goal for the B-Sens, turning aside 28 of 30 shots. Andersen earned his fourth shutout of the season for the Admirals.

Record: 40-23-1-6

Standings: The B-Sens are second place in the East Division (87 points)

Saturday, April 13 @ Albany Devils - 5 p.m.

The B-Sens are back in action this weekend as they face the Albany Devils in a home-and-home match-up. The teams first square off tonight at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, then the B-Sens travel to the state's capital on Saturday to face the Devils at the Times Union Center.

The B-Sens enter the weekend with a 3-2-0-1 record against the Devils so far this season. The two teams last met in the Southern Tier on Feb. 23 - a 5-3 B-Sens victory. This weekend will mark the final two meetings between Binghamton and Albany in the regular season.

Albany is tied for third place overall in the Northeast Division with a record of 29-28-1-12 and 71 points.

Forward Joe Whitney leads the team with 25 goals, 49 points and a +16 plus/minus rating.

Promotions: Tonight is Racing Night! All fans in attendance will receive a grandstand ticket to the June 8 Pocono 200 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards courtesy of Pocono Raceway.

Sunday, April 14 @ Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers) - 3 p.m.

After two consecutive games versus the Devils, the B-Sens will wrap up a weekend of three games in three nights as they head to Glens Falls Civic Center to take on the Adirondack Phantoms. The game will be the eighth and final between the two teams this season.

The two teams last met in Binghamton on March 29 - a 5-2 B-Sens victory.

Adirondack enters the weekend in fifth place in the Northeast Division with a 28-35-3-4 record and 63 points.

Forward Jason Akeson leads the team in goals (16), assists (32), and points (48).

SENS SNIPPETS...

Rookie Buddy Robinson made his professional debut in last Saturday's game versus the Norfolk Admirals. Robinson was signed to a three-year entry-level contract by the B-Sens' National Hockey League affiliate Ottawa Senators on March 25. As a sophomore at Lake Superior State University this season, he played 38 games, scoring eight times and adding eight assists, while recording 48 penalty minutes.
