ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Following a 3-2 victory over the Devils in Albany last night, the Binghamton Senators completed the sweep of their two-game weekend road trip with a 2-1 win over the Rochester Americans at the Blue Cross Arena on Saturday night.

In the first period, Derek Grant put the B-Sens on the board as he scored an unassisted goal at 4:18. Binghamton then took a 2-0 lead on a goal by forward Corey Cowick, assisted by Hugh Jessiman and Chris Wideman, at the 6:00 mark. Wideman's assist was his first American Hockey League point.

Rochester came to within one at 10:00 of the second frame when forward Marcus Foligno scored with helpers from Joe Finley and Brian Flynn.

A scoreless third period would yield the 2-1 victory for the B-Sens in their sixth of eight meetings against the Amerks this season.

Robin Lehner tended goal for the B-Sens and earned his second straight win and 12th overall after making 26 saves on 27 shots. David Leggio stopped 27 of 29 shots for Rochester as he came away with the loss.

The B-Sens return home on Monday, Dec. 31 to host the St. John's IceCaps for the traditional New Year's Eve game. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive their choice a mini New Year's Eve hat or noisemaker. Doors open at 5 p.m. Game time is 6:05 p.m. Tickets are $19 for side seating and $18 for end seating.
