B-Sens Sign Defenseman Michael Sdao to ATO

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have signed defenseman Michael Sdao (sa-DAY-oh) to an amateur try-out contract.

Sdao, 23, was Ottawa's seventh-round pick (191st overall) in the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

The 6-4, 220-pound defenseman recently completed his fourth and final season of college eligibility with the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference's Princeton University Tigers where he served as an assistant captain.

Sdao played in 31 games this season and led all defensemen in scoring with 15 points on eight goals and sevens assists. In four years with the Tigers he scored 26 goals, 28 assists and recorded 236 penalty minutes in 118 games.

The B-Sens return to action tomorrow as they host the Adirondack Phantoms at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $19 for side seating and $18 for end seating.
