B-Sens Gameday Preview
February 5, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Binghamton Senators News Release
Binghamton returns from the All-Star break tonight versus the Hershey Bears in the first of a three-in-three weekend. This will be the fifth of eight total meetings this regular season between the former division rivals with Hershey taking three of the first four games.
THREE KEYS TO SUCCESS:
1. SLOW DOWN CHRIS BOURQUE
The four-time American Hockey League All-Star has thrived against the B-Sens in the past and this season is no different. Bourque has played in just three of the first four games against Binghamton but has tallied eight points (three goals, five assists).
2. CONTINUE PENALTY-KILL DOMINANCE
The Binghamton Senators' penalty killers have stopped 15 of the 16 man-advantage chances for the Bears this year. In each of the four meetings this season the team who had the fewest penalty minutes has been victorious. The B-Sens lead the entire AHL with 861 penalty minutes while the Bears have accumulated just 659.
3. HOME SWEET HOME
Of the teams around the league Binghamton has played more than 30 times throughout their history, Hershey is one of just three teams to have a winning record all-time versus the B-Sens. However, the B-Sens hold a 23-19-4-3 mark when hosting the Bears all-time.
Tickets available online here or by calling (607)722-SENS(7367).
