Bowie got on the board in the second inning against Mets starter Dylan Owen. First baseman Mike Costanzo singled to lead off the inning, extending his hitting streak to 10 games. Designated hitter Ambiorix Concepcion and left fielder Dave Krynzel followed with singled to load the bases with nobody out. Owen induced center fielder Danny Figueroa to ground into a double play, but Costanzo crossed the plate to give the Baysox a 1-0 lead.

Binghamton center fielder Emmanuel Garcia tied the game with a solo shot in the third inning off Baysox starter Bobby Livingston. It was only the second home run allowed by Livingston in 58.2 innings on the season, and first since April 18.

The Baysox offense responded with a long ball of their own in the top of the fourth inning. After Costanzo walked to start the inning, Concepcion got a hold of an Owen offering and pulled it over the wall in left. It was Concepcion's fourth home run of the season, giving the Baysox a two-run advantage. The Baysox right fielder finished the game 2-for-4, extending his hitting streak to eight games.

Livingston worked 6.0 innings, scattering 10 hits and a walk while allowing two earned runs and striking out two. He was replaced by right-hander Jim Hoey, who worked 2.0 innings of scoreless relief allowing one hit while striking out three. It was Hoey's fourth appearance since returning from the disabled list on June 14. Since his return, the Trenton, New Jersey native has allowed one earned run in 5.0 innings of work while striking out five.

The Baysox added a run in the seventh against Binghamton left-hander Mike Antonini. Catcher Adam Donachie led off the inning with a single, advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt by third baseman Jonathan Tucker. After shortstop Robert Valido flied out to left, second baseman Miguel Abreu lined an RBI single to give the Baysox an insurance run and make the score 4-2.
