B-Mets Rained Out in Altoona Wednesday Night
July 29, 2009 - Eastern League (EL1)
Binghamton Rumble Ponies News Release
Wednesday night's game with the Altoona Curve has been postponed due to persistent rain in the Altoona area. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday evening beginning at 5:05 PM at Blair County Ballpark.
It is the second rainout on the current seven-game stint away from NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton (39-62) had its final game at Erie July 26 cancelled due to weather.
The B-Mets will toss LHP Eric Niesen (1-5, 7.36) and Altoona will go with LHP Daniel Moskos (7-8, 3.90) in Game 1 of the twin bill. Game 2 will feature two more southpaws, Mike Antonini (5-3, 5.99) for Binghamton and Kyle Bloom (4-5, 3.54) for the Curve. The first pitch of Game 1 is scheduled for 5:05 and the radio broadcast on Newsradio 1290 WNBF begins at 4:50 with the Horizons Federal Credit Union Pre-Game Show.
