Eric Brown allowed a run over six innings, but the Binghamton Mets fell to the Portland Sea Dogs 3-0 at Hadlock Field Sunday. The loss is Binghamton's third in a row, as Portland took three of four in the series.

Portland (17-6) got on the board in the third when Sean Danielson singled off Brown (0-2), moved to third on a groundout and scored on Jeff Corsaletti's two-out double to left-center. Mickey Hall homered off Edgar Alfonzo in the seventh and Mark Wagner's sacrifice fly off Eddie Kunz completed the scoring.

Binghamton (10-14) was shut down by Portland lefty Kris Johnson (2-1), who scattered five hits over six innings. After Mike James threw two scoreless frames, Chad Rhoades worked around a walk to Fernando Martinez and a single by Nick Evans in the ninth to notch his first save of the year.

After an off-day Monday, the B-Mets start a six-game homestand with the first game of a three-game series against the New Britain Rock Cats Tuesday. Jake Ruckle (1-1, 4.79) will start for Binghamton against Oswaldo Sosa (0-2, 7.04) of New Britain. The first pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m. at NYSEG Stadium with the radio broadcast beginning at 6:20 on Newsradio 1290 WNBF.

Notes: Dating back to Friday, the B-Mets scored one run over the final 21 innings of the series...10 of POR's 16 homers have been against the B-Mets...Binghamton was shut out for the second time this season (4/5 vs. TRE, L 2-0)...Binghamton had one hit after the fourth inning.
