Indy Fuel News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Friday that they have signed forward Austin Hervey to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO). Hervey will be available for Indy's three-game weekend which begins Friday night in Toledo.
Hervey, 24, is set to make his professional debut after completing his collegiate career at Adrian College (Mich., D-III) this spring. The 6-foot-2, 228-pound wing from Brighton, Mich. tallied 27 goals and 25 assists in 100 career games with Adrian, helping the Bulldogs to NCAA tournament appearances in each of his four years in the program. Prior to going to school, Hervey spent the 2012-13 campaign with the USHL's Indiana Ice, where he played alongside current Fuel forward Woody Hudson.
Next Home Game: Saturday, April 1 vs. Fort Wayne - 7:35 p.m. (Made in America presented by IBEW Local #481): While hockey's roots may come from that country north of the border, the Fuel are saluting the Stars and Stripes on Made in America Night.
