 Owen Sound Attack

Attack Travel to London to take on Knights

December 14, 2012 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack will travel to London on Friday in hopes of ending the Knights impressive eighteen game winning streak. London has defeated the Attack twice during that eighteen game span, however; the Knights will be without premier shutdown defenseman Scott Harrington as he was named to Canada's World Junior Team yesterday.

While London is without Harrington, the Attack will be without their number one net minder when they travel to London this evening as Jordan Binnington was one of three goaltenders selected for Canada's National Junior team. Brandon Hope will assume the starter duties for the Attack, while 2012 Draft Pick Aaron Taylor has been called up to back up Hope.

Daniel Catenacci is expected to be in the Attack lineup tonight after being a late cut Team Canada's roster yesterday afternoon.

Friday, December-14-12 - Attack vs. London: The London Knights are the hottest team in the CHL right now and are riding a win streak that has spanned eighteen games. Despite not having their captain in the lineup, the Knights are a deep squad that can hurt you in a variety of ways. Seth Griffith and Max Domi carry the bulk of the offense, but have a great supporting cast in Bo Horvat, Alex Broadhurst and Olli Maatta on the back end.

Look Out For: Seth Griffith has two goals and two assists in two games against the Attack and currently sits 2nd in OHL scoring with 54 points, 8 behind Ryan Strome for the tops in the league. The Wallaceburg native is coming off a 45 goal season and is already well on his way to duplicating that this year.

Catch the Game On: Tonight's game can be seen live on Rogers TV, local Channel 53 or heard live on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS with Fred Wallace. Game time at the Budweiser Gardens is 7:30pm.
