 Owen Sound Attack

Attack Home to Kingston

January 11, 2013 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack will look to get back to their winning ways on Saturday when they host the Kingston Frontenacs in OHL play at the Bayshore. Forwards Artur Gavrus and Daniel Milne will make their season debuts on Saturday while Steven Janes will make his home debut in front of a packed Bayshore crowd.

It's Bayshore Broadcasting night with the Attack and fans are encouraged to bring a non perishable food item to the game to help replenish the Owen Sound Food Bank's stock after Christmas.

Defenseman Cody Ceci will not be in the line-up as he is attending Ottawa Senator's training camp. The Owen Sound Attack will also honour Jordan Binnington, Jaden Lindo and Artur Gavrus prior to the game for their participation in international events.

The Attack are looking to snap a five game losing skid, losing three of their last four games by one goal, twice on powerplay goals in the last minute of play.

Kingston @ Attack: Kingston is one of the most improved teams in the Ontario Hockey League this season, sitting with 42 points after 39 games played. Last season in 68 games, the Frontenacs finished with 46 points. The Frontenacs had four members of their organization participate for the Team Ontario at the World Under 17 Challenge, so the future certainly looks bright in Kingston. The Fronts also boast two, 2012 1st Round Picks in Sam Bennett and Roland McKeown. Bennet, a forward and McKeown, a defenseman are expected to be a big part of Kingston's future, but are also contributing now as 16 year olds. Bennet has 10 goals and 12 assists on the year, while McKeown has 5 goals and 13 assists from the back end.

Look Out For: Ryan Kujawinski is just 17 years old and came to Kingston from the Sarnia Sting last year in the Ryan Spooner trade. After scoring just one goal in his first 30 games in Sarnia, he potted 15 in 30 games after being dealt to Kingston. The sophomore forward is second in team scoring this season with 10 goals and 22 assists.

Tickets for Saturday's game are available by calling (519) 371-7452 or by visiting the Attack Box Office in the main lobby of the Bayshore Community Centre.

Game time at the Bayshore is 7:30pm.
