Atlanta Dream News Release

ATLANTA - The Atlanta Dream and its official mascot "Star" have joined forces to promote literacy and the joy of reading as part of the "All-Star Reading Initiative".

As part of the Dream's commitment to the Atlanta community, the organization has developed the reading program which involves "Star" and a representative from the Dream roster, coaching staff or front office reading a story to a group of children at their respective school/library.

This fall/winter, Star and his team have visited a total of five schools or libraries in metro Atlanta including Bethune Elementary, Adamsville Primary School, the Kimberly Book Fair, East Atlanta Library and the Sandy Springs Library.

If you would like to get your school or group involved with the "All-Star Reading Initiative" please contact Von Harris in the Atlanta Dream front office via email at von.harris@atlantadream.net.

The three-time Eastern Conference Champion Atlanta Dream is entering its ninth season in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).

The Dream plays their home games at Philips Arena. Atlanta has qualified for the playoffs six times, winning conference titles in 2013, 2011 and 2010.
